There were eighteen crimes reported in the Parish for the period 30/6/19 to 31/7/19.There are still sporadic thefts from motor vehicles therefore we still need to be vigilant.We were reminded of the non emergency contact number to be used (101) and also of the email address which can also be used to contact the Police (101@dc.police.uk ).

Still many SCAMS being recorded and the most popular is persons calling from Microsoft informing you that your computer has a virus. Then through you inputting certain codes they can access your computer and gain all information from it or requesting payment details (card) to repair the problem.

What most people do is say you haven’t got a computer then they immediately terminate the call.

We are still having reports of theft from motor vehicles and these are mostly vehicles on home drives. On some occasions power tools are being stolen or just low value electrical/personal items such a sunglasses etc. Please do not leave any items of value in your vehicles.

 

Building Site Thefts

 

Some private and large building sites are being targeted and items are being stolen. On one occasion a group of males were located in a private build where an extension was being erected. This caused the builder/owner to have to sleep on site in the area of the extension.
